Balmoral Pizzaiolas

This week, pupils in Balmoral Class became pizzaiolas thanks to Pizza Express in Newbury.
They learnt all about where Pizzas come from (apparently Egypt not Italy!) and tasted different ingredients including capers, anchovies, goats cheese, peppers and olives. They worked brilliantly to shape the dough, put the tomato base on and sprinkle mozzarella before our pizzas got cooked and we took them home. A brilliant morning out.

...and even more National Sports Week collaboration

Here are some more pictures of teams working together for National Sports Week. Classes got to experience making fruit kebabs or smoothies. Some groups made friendship bracelets whilst others worked on their team skills, completing team challenges. Thank you to all the staff that ran a session.

Derek Paravacini visits again

For a second time this year Derek returned to The Castle School, along with his assistant Kelly and John and Christine Lubbock. Again, we all had an amazing time singing along to various tunes picked by the pupils. Many of our pupils even got up to sing along with Derek's accompaniment, demonstrating how wonderfully confident many of our students are. We would like to thank Derek, Kelly, John and Christine for another incredible experience.

Secondary Sports Day

We didn't let a bit of weather stop our Secondary Sports morning. Although we couldn't complete the whole afternoon programme due to summer rain, we did get a lot done and the pupils (and parents!) had a great time. Well done to everyone who took part:

Primary Sports Morning Fun

This morning our Primary pupils and many intrepid parents took part in a variety of sporting activities from volleyball to assault course to golf to bowling to name but a few. Everyone had a fantastic time and our pupils all got stuck in to all the events. Well done all pupils and also to the parents for their amazing support. Also a huge thanks to our Sports Leaders for their help in running the events.

More National Sports Week Collaboration

The pupils in Tintagel Class made a crazy golf course and taught the younger pupils in Corfe Class how to play. What wonderful learning!
