Come along to our 'To The Future' Event

Would you like to know more about what services there are to support your child?

Would you like to know what is available for your child when they leave school?

If you answered yes to either of these questions then this event is for you.

On Thursday 9th October between 6pm and 8pm the "To The Future" event will be held at our Post-16 Centre next to Newbury College. This event aims to give you as much information as possible about what services are available in West Berkshire and the surrounding area to support young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.

There are always a good selection of local organisations who will be there to talk about what they offer.

Some examples of organisations who will be there are:

  • Mencap
  • The Phoenix Centre
  • The Yume Project
  • Swings and Smiles
  • Hillview Farm
  • Lift Travel Training

It is an opportunity to chat face to face with these organisations and more to find out what is available.

We look forward to welcoming you to the event.

We also have another "To The Future" event held at the Love Lane site on the morning of Wednesday 17th June 2015

Summer Reading Challenge

Just before school closed for the summer, we set a reading challenge for our pupils to read or be read to throughout the holidays. Each pupil was given their own log on details for our electronic bug club reading scheme. Books were allocated to each pupil according to their reading ability and interests. Pupils were encouraged to visit the library and read anything! On Friday we celebrated this challenge with our pupils during assembly by giving out certificates and vouchers. Our next reading challenge will be set for the holidays in October and your log in details will be sent home again. Please encourage your child to Read, Read, Read! It makes all the difference.

Here are the winners:
